PME Art Practice

The PME offered opportunities to expand my own artist practise through a series of workshops. As a practising artist, it is important to me to widen my artist practice to aid my artist-teacher identity. The PME workshops opened up new possibilities for my own practice, encouraging me to try new things and step outside my artistic comfort zone. An art teacher must be fluid, open-minded and willing to bring a variety of approaches to the classroom.

Being a part of a community of practise presented the chance to observe how my peers worked within their area of focus and learn from them. As teachers, continuous professional development is key, especially for visual art teachers as we constantly strive to learn and develop new skills so that we may guide our students in their area of interest. In this section, documentation of my PME artistic practice are available through my online artistic journal (made using Book Creator) and some video examples of my digital media work.
